Terms of service

The service

Pointspoken provides automated practice feedback on short spoken answers in English for workplace situations. Feedback is generated by software and is provided for practice only. It is not a language assessment, a guarantee of any professional outcome, or medical or therapeutic advice.

Accounts

• You must be an adult and provide a valid email address you control.
• You are responsible for content you submit. Do not submit recordings that include other people without their consent or confidential information you are not permitted to share.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, for example by automated submission.

Plans and payment

• The free plan includes 3 completed analyses per account. A completed analysis is one that returns feedback; failed processing is not counted.
• The paid plan costs $20 per month, or $144 per year billed once, and includes 60 analyses per month. Unused analyses do not carry over.
• Paid plans begin with a 7-day free trial limited to 15 analyses. A payment method is required. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan you chose starts and is charged automatically.
• Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle's terms apply to the transaction.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• If a renewal payment fails, paid features continue for 3 days while you update your payment method, then pause until payment succeeds.
• Prices and allowances may change with notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

Content and intellectual property

You keep the rights to your recordings and transcripts. You grant us the licence needed to process them to provide the service. The prompts, interface and feedback design are ours. Suggested wording is offered as one possible version; you may use it freely.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is. We aim for reliable processing but do not guarantee availability, processing time, or the accuracy of transcription or feedback. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the three months before a claim.
